Tusculum’s Jordan Lear Named Men’s Basketball Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. ­- Tusculum College's Jordan Lear was named South Atlantic Conference Men's Basketball Player Of The Week, league officials announced today.

Lear, a junior forward from Zanesville, Ohio, averaged 22.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in leading Tusculum to a pair of wins before Christmas Break over USC Aiken (65-61) and King (57-55) on December 16 and 19, respectively.

In the win on the road against the Pacers, the Zanesville High School graduate poured in a season-high 27 points including 20 after halftime before tallying 18 points in a home victory versus the Tornado.

In addition, Lear shot 71 percent (17-of-24) from the field and 50 percent (four-for-eight) from three-point land in the two contests.

The SAC Men's Basketball Player Of The Week is voted on by the league's sports information directors.
