LMU 19th, Newberry’s Gruenemeier Climbs to 13th at NCAA Men’s Golf Regional

Overall, the Railsplitters are plus-48 after 36 holes in the tournament, 53 strokes back of current leader Nova Southeastern.
Rand Wasson turned in LMU's best individual round on Tuesday, shooting a two-over 74. He enters the final round tied for 65th on the individual leaderboard. Jamie Chapman, meanwhile, carded a four-over 76 and is tied for 42nd.
Braden Galyon shot 77 for the Railsplitters and is tied for 85th, Connor Froning shot an 83 and Garrett Metz carded an 84. Froning is tied for 100th and Metz is tied for 103rd in the individual standings.
Newberry's Chandler Gruenemeier, who qualified for the tournament as an individual, shot an even-par 72 in round two, jumping 22 spots to 13th. His round included an eagle on the first hole.
Wingate's Brian Denton, also competing as an individual, enters Wednesday tied for 42nd after shooting a 79 in round two.
