The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf Women's Soccer Players of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced it's AstroTurf Women's Soccer Players of the Week for matches played during the third week of the season.  Tusculum forward Tina Haig was named the offensive player of the week, while Catawba defender Katie Beck was named defensive player of the week.

Haig, a sophomore from Fort Washington, Pa., led the Pioneers to a 4-0 win over Mars Hill last week. She scored a goal and assisted on another for three points in the match.

Beck, a junior from Clermont, Fla., anchored the Catawba Indian defense that shut out preseason favorite Wingate 2-0 last week. Beck's defense held the Bulldogs to just five shots on goal for the match.
