Region-Best Eight Women's Soccer Players All-Region
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) announced its Women's Soccer All-Region teams this morning. The South Atlantic Conference had eight players represented.
On the first team, Lenoir-Rhyne boasted a pair of selections. The SAC Offensive Player of the Year Evan O'Leary was joined by freshman Ava Hartman. The SAC Defensive Player of the Year was also a First Team selection in Wingate's Laura Holt. Catawba added a pair of First Teamer defenders in Kelly Havens and Alexah Fite.
Catawba's Bree Ehmer earned a nod on the Second Team along with teammate Kylie Morin to give Catawba a SAC-best four All-Region selections. Wingate's Manu Baptista Filipe and Sascha Larsen rounded out the Second Team selections from the conference.
The First Team honorees are now eligible for the All-American ballot. The All-American teams will be announced on Dec. 10.
