Men's Basketball
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – UVA Wise forward Yoro Diallo has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week four of the 2025-26 season, the Conference announced today.
Diallo, a junior from Cincinnati, Ohio, led UVA Wise to wins over Wingate and Newberry last week. For the week, he shot 60 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from long range. In an 82-73 win over Wingate, Diallo had 17 points, nine rebounds and four assists while shooting 60 percent. In the Cavaliers win at Newberry, Diallo went off for 25 points on 9-of-15 shooting and added five rebounds, three assists and three steals. Diallo poured in 21 points per game in the two victories with seven rebounds and 3.5 assists.

Women's Basketball
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Coker forward Kamari Thompson has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week four of the 2025-26 season, the Conference announced today.
Thompson, a junior from Greenville, S.C., had a monster effort in the Cobras 64-56 win over Carson-Newman on Saturday. Thompson went 7-of-11 from the field, connecting on 63.6 percent of her shots, to score 15 points. Thompson cleaned up on the boards to the tune of a career-high 20 rebounds with 14 being defensive. She added a steal, a block and an assist.

Women's Indoor Track & Field
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week for meets contested during the first week of competition. Anderson's Kennedy Roush earned the track honor while Wingate's Hayat Abdeselam earned the field honor.
Roush, a junior distance runner from Greer, S.C., recorded a personal best while also breaking her own program record for the women's indoor 5k by 13 seconds with a time of 16:48.81.
Abdeselam, a sophomore jumper from Palma de Mallorca, Spain, earned a bronze medal in the triple jump in the JDL Early Bird Invitational at the JDL Fast Track Sunday. Her NCAA provisional leap of 12.00 meters is the seventh-best mark in the NCAA Division II this season.

Men's Indoor Track & Field
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference announced its WePlayed Sports Men's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week for meets contested during the first week of competition. Wingate's Klaus Scholz earned the track honor while Carson-Newman's Cadence Dolgin earned the field honor.
Scholz, a freshman mid-distance runner, finished second in the 800 meters invitational (1:47.61) at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Indoor Opener at Boston University Saturday. He was the top collegian in the field. Scholz's time is the top mark in NCAA Division II this season and he did this in his first intercollegiate indoor track meet.
Dolgin, a freshman jumper from Lebanon, Tenn., rewrote the Carson-Newman indoor track & field history books with his performance in the pole vault on Saturday at the VMI Colonel Bec Read Opener. The freshman broke the C-N pole vault record, clearing a height of 4.70 meters to take first place in the event. Assistant coach Sam Cleek held the record, 4.58m, which he set back in 2022.
