SAC Places Three in Top 15, Six in Top 75 of Winter LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup Standings
CLEVELAND, OHIO – The winter LEARFIELD Directors' Cup standings were released with 10 South Atlantic Conference schools appearing on the list, including three programs ranked inside the top 15 following the completion of the winter championship season.
Wingate continues to lead the SAC and sits No. 3 nationally with 538.50 total points. The Bulldogs added 255.50 points during the winter season behind strong performances across multiple programs, maintaining their position among the top athletic departments in Division II.
Catawba climbed into the top 15 at No. 12 with 347.00 points, while Lenoir-Rhyne followed closely at No. 14 with 336.00 points, giving the SAC three institutions ranked in the top 15 nationally.
Anderson checked in at No. 35 with 262.50 points, while Carson-Newman ranked No. 43 with 243.00 points after a strong winter showing.
Newberry came in at No. 54 with 209.00 points to round out the SAC programs inside the top 75.
Rounding out the conference's representation, Lincoln Memorial ranked No. 122 (100.00 points), Tusculum was No. 143 (78.50 points), Coker placed No. 165 (50.00 points), and Mars Hill was No. 183 (40.00 points).
Overall, the SAC placed three programs in the top 15, five inside the top 50, and six within the top 75 of the national standings following the winter championships.
