WePlayed Sports Players of the Week - Apr. 27
Men's Lacrosse
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference has announced its WePlayed Sports Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played during week 12 of the 2026 season. Wingate swept the weekly honors with Kyle Spence earning the Offensive Player of the Week and Sam Deardorff the Defensive Player of the Week, while Necco Cottage was named the Specialist of the Week.
Spence, a senior from Suwanee, Ga., handed out 6 assists Wednesday night, adding a goal for a 7-point night as #4 Wingate wrapped up a perfect SAC regular season with a big 14-6 win over #10 Catawba. Spence finishes the regular season as the nation's leader in assists per game for the second straight year.
Deardorff, a junior from York, Pa., helped lead a WU defense that held #10 Catawba to a season-low six goals Wednesday night, as the Bulldogs knocked off their fourth top-15 SAC opponent this year. Deardorff notched three caused turnovers on the night, adding a ground ball in the win.
Cottage, a sophomore from Smithtown, N.Y., had a huge night Wednesday, helping the Bulldogs cap an undefeated SAC regular season. Cottage won 16 of 20 face-offs on the night, while also piling up 10 ground balls for the Bulldogs.

Women's Lacrosse
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference has announced its WePlayed Sports Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week for games played during week 12 of the 2026 season. Lincoln Memorial's Josie Tinnerello was named the Offensive Player of the Week, while Anderson's Megan Muir earned the Defensive Player of the Week.
Tinnerello, a senior from Worthington, Ohio, became the all-time career points leader in Lincoln Memorial women's lacrosse history in a win over Mars Hill. In the game, she totaled eight goals and two assists for 10 points to push her to 238 for her career. She added two ground balls and a caused turnover in the 15-5 win.
Muir, a sophomore from Bedford, NH, helped the Trojans to a 15-12 win over UVA Wise in the regular season finale on April 22. The win clinched the three-seed for the Trojans in the SAC Tournament and Muir was a key factor in the victory as she accumulated eight draw controls. She added two ground balls, a caused turnover, three goals and two assists in the win.

Baseball
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Catawba's Brandon Crabtree was named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Baseball Player of the Week while Lenoir-Rhyne's Kellen Gradisar was named Pitcher of the Week for games played during week 12 of the 2026 season, the conference office announced today.
Crabtree, a junior infielder from Pittsboro, N.C., helped Catawba close out a 29-4 SAC regular season and conference title with four monster games. In the week, he hit .625 with a .667 on base percentage and 1.438 slugging percentage. Crabtree went 10-for-16 with nine runs, four home runs and nine runs driven in. He added a pair of walks without a strikeout and a perfect fielding percentage.
Gradisar, a junior from Missouri City, Texas, threw a complete-game, one-hitter in a dominant performance against Lincoln Memorial. In the seven innings, he didn't walk a batter and struck out four to help LR lock up the third seed in the conference tournament.

Softball
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lenoir-Rhyne's Madison Primm was named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Softball Player of the Week, while her teammate Madison Wilson was named Pitcher of the Week for games played during week ten of the 2026 season, the conference office announced today.
Primm, a junior from Stem, N.C.., helped the Bears to a 4-0 week and clinching the SAC Regular Season title with a sweep of Carson-Newman on Friday. On the week, Primm went 10-for-19 (.526 average) with five runs scored, two doubles, two home runs and nine runs driven in. She added a stolen base and didn't strike out all week.
Wilson, a junior from Pine Hall, N.C., tossed 12.1 innings in the circle for LR last week, allowing just one earned run. Wilson posted a 2-0 record in her three games and had a 0.57 ERA and 0.97 WHIP. She struck out 17 batters and allowed just seven hits on the week.
