SAC Places Three on CSC Women's At-Large Academic All-America Team
GREENWOOD, Ind. – Carson-Newman's Kat Nelson, Wingate's Kaleigh Wilgeroth and Megan Millard were named to the 2024-25 Academic All-America Women's At-Large teams as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC).
Nelson, a beach volleyball senior from Sioux Falls, S.D., was named to the First Team after recording a perfect 4.0 grade point average in biochemistry.
Wilgeroth, a women's lacrosse senior and native of Rocky Point, N.Y., joined Nelson on the First Team by earning a 4.0 grade point average in criminal justice.
Wilgeroth's teammate Megan Millard, a senior exercise science major from Watertown, N.Y., earned Third Team accolades by posting a 3.80 GPA.
The Division II at-large teams honored 45 student-athletes with eight members of the first team holding perfect 4.00 GPAs. A total of 16 of the 45 members have 4.00 GPAs either as an undergraduate or a graduate student. The 15-member first team has a 3.93 cumulative GPA.
The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Division II Academic All-America® program.
