Anderson’s Scarberry, Catawba’s Jankowski Named SAC Baseball Players of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. - A pair of impressive weeks landed Anderson's Brett Scarberry SAC baseball Player of the Week honors and Catawba's JJ Jankowski the conference's Pitcher of the Week award, it was announced on Tuesday.
Scarberry hit .667 and slugged .933 last week for the Trojans and was key in AU's victories over Southern Wesleyan, Coker and No. 20 Limestone.
The senior catcher totaled 10 hits on the week - three of which went for extra bases. He also drove in three runs and scored five times. Scarberry currently has a six-game hitting streak and leads AU this season in batting average, slugging percentage, on-base percentage, hits, runs and total bases.

Jankowski improved his record to 2-0 on the young season by
throwing seven strong innings against Shippensburg on Sunday.
In his only outing of the week, the senior allowed just one run while striking out eight in the Indians' 2-1 win.
For the season, Jankowski has an ERA of 1.93 and is allowing opponents to hit just .208.
