The South Atlantic Conference Announces Seeds for 2015 Baseball Championship
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Catawba won its third-straight South Atlantic Conference Regular Season Championship as it captured the 2015 Title. With the crown, the Catawba Indians have earned the No. 1 seed in next week's South Atlantic Conference Baseball Championship, it was determined today as the Conference season concluded today. Catawba finished the season with a 23-6 League record.
At No. 2 in the seeds was Newberry as the Wolves finished the SAC season at 21-8. Tusculum's 18-11 record was good for the No. 3 seed, while Lincoln Memorial finished at No.4 with a 15-12 Conference record. Wingate landed in the No. 5 slot with a 15-15 League record, ahead of No. 6 Anderson, who turned in a South Atlantic Conference record of 14-15. Brevard earned the No. 7 seed with a 13-16 SAC record and Carson-Newman rounds out the seeds with a 12-18 SAC slate.
The 2015 South Atlantic Conference Baseball Championship will be played at McNair Field in Forest City, N.C. and will get underway on Thursday, April 23. Thursday's games will be single elimination, while the double-elimination portion of the Tournament will be played Friday, April 24-Monday, April 27. Below is the Championship schedule.
