The South Atlantic Conference Announces 2015 Baseball Championship MVP and All-Tournament Team

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Wingate's Thomas Spitz was tabbed the 2015 South Atlantic Conference Baseball Championship MVP, the League announced today.  The top four teams in the SAC Championship head coaches also selected a 13-member All-Tournament Team

Spitz, a senior from West Chester, Pa., topped an offense that led the entire tournament field with a .357 batting average, with no other team that played more than three games batting better than .303.  Spitz hit .517 with a tournament-best 16 RBI, to go along with five doubles and three homers.  The honor marks Wingate's first Tournament MVP selection since winning the SAC Tournament in 2011.

Wingate led the way with seven players on the All-Tournament Team, followed by Catawba with four players on the squad.  Tusculum and Newberry rounded out the All-Tournament with two players each on the team.
