The South Atlantic Conference Posts Top-Ranked Team in the NCAA Regional Baseball Rankings; Two SAC Teams Ranked

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference boasts the No. 1 ranked team in the latest NCAA Division II Regional Baseball Rankings, the NCAA announced today. Catawba is ranked No. 1 in the Southeast Region as it is currently 40-12 overall.
Newberry also checks into the Regional Rankings at No. 8. The Wolves are currently 34-18 overall.
The top six teams in each region earn bids to the NCAA Division II Baseball National Championship.
The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Baseball Committee up to the NCAA Championship selections.
