Thomasville, N.C.----Wingate University redshirt freshman right-hander Jimmy Doolittle (Charlotte, N.C.) took a perfect game into the eighth inning Friday afternoon, leading the fifth-seeded Bulldogs to a 2-0 victory over sixth-seeded North Greenville University in an NCAA Division II Southeast Regional elimination game at Finch Field. Wingate improves to 33-25 overall, while the Crusaders end their season at 29-25 on the year. It is the first NCAA Tournament victory for the Bulldogs since Wingate won a pair of games in 1995. THOMASVILLE, N.C. -- Host Catawba advanced to Saturday's winner's bracket final with a 9-2 win over Georgia College on Friday afternoon at Finch Field in the 2015 NCAA II Southeast Region Baseball Tournament. The Catawba Indians, ranked 12th in NCAA II and the top-seed, improve to 42-13 and will face the winner of Mount Olive and North Georgia at 11 am on Saturday. The Bobcats end their season at 33-19.
