Seven SAC Student Athletes named to 2017 Preseason Southeast All-Region Team

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Seven South Atlantic Conference players have been named to the 2017 Preseason All-Region Team. Ethan Elliott from Lincoln Memorial, Bryan Blanton from Catawba College, Zach Finchum from Tusculum, and Derek Olenchuk from Newberry are among the student athletes representing the First-Team Southeast Region. With Honorable Mention honors is Daymon Totherow from Newberry, Bradley Brown from Wingate, and Zach Almond from Catawba College. Below is a look at all the players who received Preseason All-Region honors.

First-Team

Starting Pitcher – Ethan Elliott, Lincoln Memorial

Relief Pitcher – Bryan Blanton, Catawba College

Second Base – Zach Finchum, Tusculum

Third Base – Derek Olenchuck, Newberry

Honorable Mention

Outfield – Daymon Totherow, Newberry
