TIGERVILLE, S.C. – Ace Ethan Elliott quieted the Georgia College offense with a dazzling complete game and the Lincoln Memorial bats shelled NCBWA Southeast Region Pitcher of the Year Charlie Hecht as the seventh-seeded Railsplitters (36-19) opened the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional with a 9-4 upset win over the No. 6 nationally-ranked and second-seeded Bobcats (43-11) on Thursday afternoon at Ashmore Park. Bulldogs drop extra-inning 5-4 heartbreaker to Belmont Abbey in NCAA Tourney opener
Tigerville, S.C.----Belmont Abbey College's Luke Cureton led off the bottom of the 10th with a walk-off solo homer Thursday afternoon, leading the 20th-ranked Crusaders to a 5-4 victory over Wingate University in the opening round of the 2018 NCAA Division II Southeast Regional baseball tournament. Belmont Abbey improves to 38-12 overall, while the Bulldogs fall to 34-18 on the season. Both teams are back in action Friday. FULL RECAP
