Carson-Newman's Victory Named SAC Baseball Elite 20 Award Winner

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Carson-Newman's senior Ryan Victory was honored as the 2019 Elite 20 Award winner for baseball, presented by the South Atlantic Conference on Friday, April 26.

This award honors the student-athlete with the top cumulative grade-point average (based on a minimum of 48 credit hours) in each of the league's 20 team championship sports.

Victory, a senior right-handed pitcher from Brentwood, Tenn., has a perfect 4.00 GPA while majoring in education, completing 83 credit hours.

Heading into the championship weekend, Victory has appeared in 19 games for the Eagles with six starts. He has accumulated a 2-1 record through 40.0 innings with 35 strikeouts.
