Catawba Blanks Newberry Moves to Monday's Final
KODAK, Tenn. -- Catawba blanked Newberry 2-0 on Saunday at the Pilot Flying J Souith Atlantic Conference Baseball Tournament. With the win, the Catawba Indians advance to Monday's championship game as the only undefeated team in the double elimination tournament.
Bulldogs stave off elimination for third time with 10-2 victory over Railsplitters
Kodak, Tenn.----Facing elimination for the third time in four days, the fifth-seeded Wingate University Bulldogs rolled to a 10-2 victory over the second-seeded Lincoln Memorial University Railsplitters on day four of the 2019 South Atlantic Conference baseball tournament at Smokies Stadium. Wingate stays alive to play against Sunday night at 7:45 p.m. against Newberry, improving to 33-17 overall, while LMU is eliminated from the tournament, falling to 33-17 on the season. Late Inning Heroics Lift Newberry Past Wingate, 6-5
Kodak, Tenn.----The top-seeded and eighth-ranked Newberry College Wolves scored four runs with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, rallying past the fifth-seeded Wingate University Bulldogs for a 6-5 victory on day four of the 2019 South Atlantic Conference baseball tournament.
