Four SAC Teams Remain Ranked in NCAA Southeast Region Baseball Poll

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The Newberry, Catawba, Lincoln Memorial and Wingate baseball teams held strong in the latest NCAA Southeast Region Baseball poll, which was released by the NCAA on Wednesday (May 1). The Wolves earned the No. 2 spot in the poll, followed by the Indians at No. 3. The Railsplitters are ranked No. 6 and the Bulldogs earned the No. 7 spot.   

Newberry is currently 41-13 overall, while Catawba is 41-12. Lincoln Memorial has a record of 34-17 and Wingate is 33-18 overall. 

Catawba earned the SAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Southeast Region Championship by winning the 2019 SAC Pilot Flying J Baseball Championship on Monday (April 29).

The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Baseball Committee up to the NCAA Championship selections.
