Fourteen SAC Baseball Players Named to ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Team, Lincoln Memorial's Elliott Named Region Pitcher of the Year
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The 2019 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. II All-Region teams and Regional Players of the Year have been announced in all eight regions on Wednesday (May 29). The teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Div. II All-America Committee.
Fourteen South Atlantic Conference baseball players were named to the Southeast All-Region Team, with Lincoln Memorial's Ethan Elliott named Southeast Region Pitcher of the Year. Seven of the selections were first teamers, while the other seven were second teamers.
ABCA/Rawlings All-Region first-team selections are nominated for ABCA/Rawlings All-America honors. The ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. II All-Americans will be announced the evening of Friday, May 31. The ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove teams for all divisions will be announced Wednesday, June 19.
