The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week Honors

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Newberry's Jack Harris was named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Baseball Player of the Week, while Wingate's Brody McCullough was named AstroTurf Baseball Pitcher of the Week for games played during week 10 of the 2021 season, the Conference office announced today.

Harris, a senior outfielder from Watsonville, Calif., led the Wolves to a perfect 6-0 week with wins over Mars Hill and a four-game sweep of Lincoln Memorial. He batted .455 with a double, a home run, eight RBIs, and eight runs scored.

McCullough, a senior right-hander from Lexington, N.C., had two scoreless outings for the Bulldogs last week, including an 8-0 win over Catawba. He threw six innings allowing just two hits with nine strikeouts in the win. He also threw two and two-thirds innings against Anderson, allowing three hits with a pair of strikeouts.

This is Harris's first Player of the Week honor this season, while this marks the third Pitcher of the Week honor for McCullough.
