Bears Split With No. 1 North Greenville; Set Up Deciding Game Saturday
TIGERVILLE, S.C. - Lenoir-Rhyne split with No. 1 seed North Greenville on Friday, winning game one 7-1 and dropping game two 8-4. The Bears and Crusaders will play a deciding game tomorrow, with the winner advancing to the Super Regional. Andrew Patrick was phenomenal in the opener, pitching seven innings and earning his 9th win of the year. The Bears were unable to complete the comeback in game two after scoring two in the 9th. Lenoir-Rhyne's two wins in this year's tournament are the most in program history, and the Bears will go for their first Super Regional appearance with a win tomorrow. READ MORE
Bulldogs Unable to Take Down Columbus State
WINGATE, N.C. - Wingate dropped to the elimination bracket of the NCAA Southeast Regional with an 8-5 loss to Columbus State. Austin Mitchell suffered the loss on the mound, going two and two-thirds innings, allowing six runs on seven hits with two strikeouts. Leading the Bulldog offense were Ricky Clark and Logan McNeely. Clark was 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, and three RBIs, while McNeely was 3-for-5. READ MORE
