Catawba Moves Up Two Spots to No. 19 in NCBWA National Poll
ROCK HILL, S.C. (thesac.com) - The Catawba Indians have jumped to No. 19 in this week's NCBWA poll, released Wednesday (April 10). Catawba was ranked No. 21 last week, the first time they appeared in the top-25 this season.
The Indians pushed their winning streak to eight straight with a weekend sweep of Mars Hill where they outscored the Lions 19-1 over three games. Catawba also dominated a mid-week game against Belmont Abbey where they won 17-6. Catawba has been especially dominant at home this year, sitting 22-1 at Newman Park this year.
Catawba returns to action on Saturday when they travel to Anderson for a 2 p.m. first pitch of a 3-game SAC weekend series.
