Mars Hill’s Randolph, Tusculum’s Alexander and Cornelius Named SAC Football Players of the Week

Jonas Randolph, Tusculum linebacker Brian Alexander and TC kicker
Logan Cornelius have been named the SAC Football Players of the
Week for Week 1.
Randolph, the Offensive Player of the Week, rushed for a
league-high 163 yards in Mars Hill's 27-7 victory of Charleston.
Randolph also added 41 receiving yards on the day. The senior
running back's stellar performance moved him into 10th on the SAC's
career rushing list.
Randolph led the SAC with 1,367 rushing yards -- 124.3
yards-per-game -- in 2010.

Tusculum linebacker Brian Alexander is the SAC Defensive
Player of the Week. A junior from Union Point, Ga., Alexander
recorded nine tackels in TC's 20-10 win over West Georgia,
including three tackles-for-loss. Alexander recorded a key
third-down sack with West Georgia threatening inside the TC five
yard line, forcing a field goal.
Finally, Tusculum kicker Logan Cornelius has been named the
SAC Special Teams Player of the Week. In his first collegiate
game, the freshman was flawless, going 2-for-2 on field-goal
attempts and 2-for-2 on PATs. The Chattanooga, Tenn., native also
notched two touchbacks on kickoffs.
