Mars Hill 42, Wingate 35
MARS HILL, N.C. - The Mars Hill College
football team scored 28 consecutive points to end the game
Saturday, rallying for a 42-35 victory over Wingate University at
the Ammons Family Athletic Center and Meares Stadium on the MHC
campus. The Lions compiled 508 yards of total offense en route to
the come-from-behind victory in their annual Homecoming contest.

Lenoir-Rhyne 33, Brevard 27 (3OT)
HICKORY, N.C. - In its first triple overtime
game in school history, Lenoir-Rhyne (3-2, 2-0) prevailed over
Brevard (2-4, 1-3), 33-27, Saturday afternoon in front of 8,047
fans at Moretz Stadium in a South Atlantic Conference contest.
Senior quarterback Major Herron scored the game-winning touchdown
from 25 yards out in the third overtime for the Bears. [More]
Carson-Newman 55, Catawba 21
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - The Carson-Newman
College football team didn't make up for three straight bad
performances against South Atlantic Conference opponents, but did
make an example out of Catawba Saturday at Burke-Tarr Stadium. [More]
UNC Pembroke 58, Tusculum 38
PEMBROKE, N.C. - UNC Pembroke scored the first 20 points of
the game, while holding off a Tusculum rally in the second half as
the Braves defeated the Pioneers 58-38 Saturday afternoon Grace P.
