Mars Hill’s Randolph, Tusculum’s Smith, Newberry’s Livingston Garner Final SAC Football Weekly Awards
ROCK HILL, S.C. - After each turning in standout performances on the final Saturday of the SAC football regular season, Mars Hill's Jonas Randolph, Tusculum's Terrence Smith and Newberry's Jason Livingston have been named the conference's Players of the Week.

Randolph, the Offensive Player of the Week, capped a
record-breaking regular season with 232 yards on Saturday against
Carson-Newman as Mars Hill clinched a share of the SAC title. He
averaged over seven yards per rush on 33 carries against the
Eagles.
With Saturday's performance, Randolph broke the SAC single-season rushing record. His 1,970 yards in 2011 have eclipsed Carson-Newman's Kenneth Tyson's total of 1,687 set in 1987. Randolph also closed the regular season as Division II's leading rusher.

Smith recorded a school-record four sacks as Tusculum closed its
season with a 38-20 win over Wingate, earning Defensive Player of
the Week honors. Overall, Smith had eight tackles, and one of his
sacks forced a fumble that ultimately led to a TC touchdown.
Smith ends his career with 19 sacks, the second most in Tusculum history.
Newberry's Jason Livingston, the Special Teams Player of the Week, broke open the Wolves' game against Brevard by returning a kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter. He had a total of 147 yards on three returns in the game.
Livingston finished the regular season ranked second in the SAC by averaging 27.1 yards per kickoff return.
