NEW YORK - Mars Hill running back Jonas Randolph and Lenoir-Rhyne offensive lineman Chandler Rearden, whose teams split the 2011 SAC football championship, have been selected to the Associated Press Little All-America Team.
Randolph, the 2011 Harlon Hill Trophy winner, was named to the First Team, while Rearden was a second-team selection.
Randolph led all NCAA divisions in rushing this season, averaging 197.27 yards per game. His 2,170 yards in 2011 and 5,608 career yards established new SAC.
Randolph had six games of 200 or more rushing yards and nine games of over 100 rushing yards.
Rearden, a three-year first team All-SAC honoree (2008, 2010-11) and a two-time all-region pick (2010-11), won the Jacobs Blocking Trophy for the second straight year this fall. The award is given annually to the top offensive lineman in the league.
Rearden helped the Bears finish fifth in the nation in rushing this year at just over 287 yards per game.
