Three South Atlantic Conference Football Teams Ranked in First NCAA Super Region 2 Ranking

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – The South Atlantic Conference posted three teams in the NCAA Super Region 2 Regional Football Rankings.  Wingate came in at No. 6, with Mars Hill checking in at No. 7, and Newberry earning the No. 8 spot.

The Bulldogs are currently ranked No. 16 in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division II National Coaches' Poll with a record of 6-1 overall, including a perfect 4-0 in conference play.

The Lions are currently 6-2 overall and are 4-1 in the SAC.

The Wolves are 6-2 overall and have a 5-1 record in the SAC.

The rankings are the official poll utilized by the NCAA in the championship selection process and will continue to be released each week by the NCAA Division II Football Committee up to the NCAA Championship selections.
