Three SAC Football Student-Athletes Earn CoSIDA Academic All-American Honors
AUSTIN, Texas | Three South Atlantic Conference football student-athletes have been named to the 2021 Academic All-America® Division II football team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2021-22 Division II Academic All-America® teams program.
Wingate's Andrew Strickland and Tucker Mullis were both named to the first team, while Tusculum's Andrew Cantrell was a second team selection.
The 26 Academic All-America® Division II football first team members hold a composite 3.81 undergraduate GPA. Four first team honorees hold a perfect 4.00 undergraduate GPA. Twenty-three Academic All-America® Division II football selections are repeat picks from the spring 2021 honor squads with 16 of the veterans making the fall 2021 first team
