Newberry's Smith Named SAC Wealth Enhancement Group Elite 23 Winner for Football

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Newberry's Carson Smith was honored as the 2022 SAC Football Wealth Enhancement Group Elite 23 Award winner on Saturday (Nov. 12).

This award honors the student-athlete with the top cumulative grade-point average (based on a minimum of 48 credit hours) in each of the league's 23 team championship sports.

Smith, a junior defensive end from Abbeville, S.C., has a 3.933 GPA with a major in physical education.
