NEWBERRY AND LANDER HOLD STEADY IN LATEST NFHCA DIVISION II NATIONAL POLL
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Two South Atlantic Conference teams remain among the nation's best in the latest Penn Monto/NFHCA Division II National Coaches Poll, released on Tuesday, October 14. Newberry College stayed firmly in the No. 3 spot, while Lander University checked in at No. 8.
Newberry (10–0) continues its perfect season and maintains its position as one of only three unbeaten teams in Division II. The Wolves have been dominant on both ends of the field, outscoring opponents 49–8 through 10 games and showcasing one of the most balanced attacks in the country.
Lander (7–3) remained inside the top 10, coming in at No. 8. The Bearcats have battled a tough schedule and continue to prove themselves as a rising power in their second year as a SAC field hockey member.
The Penn Monto/NFHCA Division II National Coaches Poll is voted on by designated NFHCA member coaches from each conference and does not determine NCAA Championship selections.
