Three Men’s Basketball Teams Ranked In Region
INDIANAPOLIS - The NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Committee has released this week's Division II men's basketball regional rankings, with three teams from the South Atlantic Conference in the top 10.
The three teams tied for the top spot in the conference standings all appear in the region rankings. Presbyterian College is the highest-ranked SAC school at No. 5 in the region. Lenoir-Rhyne College is ranked seventh, while Catawba College is ranked ninth.
Eight teams from the South Atlantic Region advance to the NCAA Tournament, including automatic qualifiers from each of the three conferences in the region - the South Atlantic, the Peach Belt, and the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association.
The regional rankings will be released weekly on Wednesdays through February 28, 2007.
