Lenoir-Rhyne’s Reggie Bratton Named Men’s Basketball Player Of The Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. -- Lenoir-Rhyne College's Reggie Bratton has been named the South Atlantic Conference Men's Basketball Player Of The Week, league officials announced today. Bratton wins the award for the second time this season.
Bratton, a senior forward from Charlotte, N.C., averaged 17.6 points and 5.6 rebounds in leading Lenoir-Rhyne to three wins in five games over Christmas Break
Bratton also tallied a team-high 17 points and six rebounds in
L-R's 77-64 victory over Tusculum in a league game Saturday night
at Shuford Gymnasium.
The West Charlotte High School graduate leads the team in scoring this year (17.0 ppg) and has scored in double figures in 32 straight games dating back to last year.
Bratton, a 2006-07 All-SAC First-Team honoree, has also led Lenoir-Rhyne to an 8-3 overall mark and a 2-0 record in SAC play. L-R is currently tied for first place in the league standings with Carson-Newman and Wingate.
The SAC Men's Basketball Player Of The Week is voted on by the league's sports information directors.
