Tusculum’s Jordan Lear Named Men’s Basketball Player Of The Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. -- Tusculum College's Jordan Lear has been named the South Atlantic Conference Men's Basketball Player Of The Week, league officials announced today.
Lear, a senior forward from Zanesville, Ohio, averaged 21.7 points in leading Tusculum to a 3-0 week including a pair of South Atlantic Conference victories.
The Zanesville High School native started the week with 25
points on 10-of-16 shooting in Tusculum's 67-64 win over Concord
Monday before hitting seven-of-11 shots for 19 points in TC's 73-67
overtime victory against league-foe Lincoln Memorial at home
Wednesday.
Lear capped the week with the game-winning three-pointer with 1.3 seconds left in Tusculum's 82-79 win over Catawba Saturday at Pioneer Arena. Lear finished with 21 points, including 17 points in the second half, to go along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Lear currently leads the team in scoring (18.4 ppg) and rebounding (7.1 rpg).
The SAC Men's Basketball Player Of The Week is voted on by the league's sports information directors.
