LMU, Anderson Ranked In NCAA Men’s Basketball Region Poll
INDIANAPOLIS - South Atlantic Conference leader Lincoln Memorial University dropped to third in the NCAA Division II Southeast Region rankings, while Anderson makes its first appearance in the poll at No. 8.
Lincoln Memorial is 22-2 overall and 14-2 in conference play. Against Division II opponents, the Railsplitters are 18-2 and are 17-2 against in-region DII opponents.
Anderson is 16-10 overall. The Trojans are 15-9 against DII opponents.
The regional rankings will be released weekly on Wednesdays through March 2, 2011.
Record are through Sunday, February 20.
Eight teams from each of the eight regions will advance to the NCAA Division II tournament. In the Southeast Region, the tournament champions from the SAC, Peach Belt, and Conference Carolinas will receive an automatic bid, with five more at-large selections.
