No. 8 Lincoln Memorial 69, Brevard 58
HARROGATE, Tenn. -- The no.8 Railsplitters cruised to a 69-58 victory of the Brevard College Tornados on Wednesday evening in Tex Turner Arena to improve to 13-2 in South Atlantic Conference play and 23-2 overall. Desmond Johnson led the Railsplitters with 20 points on 8-13 shooting from the field. He capped off a huge double-double performance with 14 boards along with two assists. Vincent Bailey added 17 points down low while grabbing six rebounds and tallying an assist and block. Chance Jones notched nine points in the contest. 11 different players scored for LMU on the night. [Box]

MARS HILL, N.C. - After battling Carson-Newman to a standstill for 40 minutes, Mars Hill had just enough left in the tank to earn the 96-93 overtime victory over the Eagles at Stanford Arena Wednesday night. Mars Hill improved to 5-19 overall, 3-12 in SAC play with the victory. Carson-Newman fell to 14-11 overall, 7-8 in SAC play. [Box]
Catawba 66, Lenoir-Rhyne 60
HICKORY, N.C. -- Keon Moore scored 24 points and had nine rebounds to send Catawba to a 66-60 upset win over Lenoir-Rhyne Wednesday night at Shuford Memorial Gymnasium. The Indians improve to 7-16 overall and 4-11 in the South Atlantic Conference while the Bears fall to 12-12 and 8-7. [Box]

NEWBERRY, S.C.----After allowing 48 first half points, the Wingate University Bulldogs held the league's top-scoring team to only 21 second-half points en route to an 85-69 victory at Newberry College in South Atlantic Conference men's basketball action Wednesday night. The Bulldogs win their fifth straight, improving to 15-10 overall and 11-4 in the SAC. All five wins during the streak have been double-digit victories.
