Three SAC Men’s Basketball Players Named to NABC All-District Team
Lincoln Memorial forward Vincent Bailey, Anderson guard Chandler Hash and Carson-Newman forward Antoine Davis have been selected to the 2013-14 NABC All-Southeast District Team, the association announced on Tuesday. Bailey and Hash were named to the First Team, while Davis was voted to the Second Team.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Lincoln Memorial forward Vincent Bailey, Anderson guard Chandler Hash and Carson-Newman forward Antoine Davis have been selected to the 2013-14 NABC All-Southeast District Team, the association announced on Tuesday. Bailey and Hash were named to the First Team, while Davis was voted to the Second Team.
Bailey – the SAC Player of the Year – ranked second in the conference in scoring at 21.5 points per game and first in rebounding at 10 per contest, leading LMU to both the SAC regular-season and tournament championships. The Railsplitters also reached the regional semifinal round of the NCAA Tournament.
Hash led the SAC in scoring at 24.3 points, made three pointers with 124 and made free throws with 228 this season, leading Anderson to an at-large selection to the NCAA Tournament. Hash was also named the MVP of the SAC Championship.
Davis averaged 19 points per game – tied for fifth in the SAC – and ranked third in the conference in three-point shooting at 45.4 percent, helping guide Carson-Newman to the NCAA Tournament.
Bailey, Hash and Davis were each members of the 2013-14 All-SAC First Team.
