The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week, Nov. 16

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lenoir-Rhyne guard Keenan Palmore has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Nov. 9 – 15, the League announced today.

 

Palmore, a senior from Stone Mountain, Ga., opened the 2015 season averaging 25.0 points, 8.5 assists, and 6.5 rebounds per game in back-to-back victories at the SAC/Peach Belt Conference Challenge. In his Lenoir-Rhyne debut, the senior guard recorded a near triple-double with 36 points, nine assists and eight rebounds in the Bears' win over No. 13 UNC Pembroke. Against Francis Marion, Palmore shot 57.1 percent inside the arch and dished out eight assists in Lenoir-Rhyne's 102-93 victory. On the week, Palmore shot 59.3 percent and 81.8 at the free throw line, while notching 3.0 steals per game and 13 total rebounds as well. The award marks his first Player of the Week plaudit this season.
