The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week, Dec. 14

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Queens forward Sean Morgan has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Dec. 7 – 13, the League announced today.

Morgan, a senior from Kennesaw, Ga., led the Royals to a 3-0 record on the week that included two League wins against Coker and Carson-Newman. Queens now sits at the top of the SAC standings with an overall 10-0 record one month into the 2015-16 campaign. In the victory over the Cobras, Morgan posted a career-high 31 points with high accuracy from the floor as he made ten of his 11 shots. On the charity stripe, Morgan went 11-for-13 and tallied a week-high five rebounds. Against Warren Wilson, the senior forward found the net for 29 points, making 77 percent of his field goals in the 94-69 win. He would accumulate 69 points on the week, averaging 23 points per game and securing three steals and two assists. The award marks his second Player of the Week nod this season.
