The South Atlantic Conference Announces AstroTurf SAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week, Jan. 10
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Anderson guard Randall Shaw has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Jan. 2-9, the League announced today.
Shaw, a sophomore from Greenville, S.C., posted a career week last week as he averaged 34 points per game and shot 63 percent from the floor for the Trojans. He got his week going with a career-best 45 points on 81 percent from the floor and 80 percent from downtown to lead Anderson to a 97-82 win at Brevard on Jan. 4. His 45 points is currently No. 7 on the South Atlantic Conference single game list and marked the second most single game points for a Trojan since the 2012 season. Shaw added eight rebounds against the Tornados, to go along with three assists and a steal. Four days later against Lenoir-Rhyne, Shaw posted his first career double-double as he poured in 23 points and came away with 11 rebounds in the contest with the Bears. He finished his week with 19 total rebounds, five assists and a pair of steals. The honor marks his first Player of the Week honor this season.
