Queens' Willett Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Basketball Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Queens forward Shaun Willett has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played January 21 through January 27, the Conference announced today.

Willett, a senior from Palm Bay, Fla., led the No. 9 Royals to a perfect week with wins over Wingate (95-71) and Anderson (83-75), extending their winning streak 14 games and keeping them undefeated in SAC play. Willett recorded his nation leading seventeenth and eighteenth double-doubles in the victories, scoring 19 points with 12 rebounds against Wingate, while dropping 22 points with 13 rebounds versus Anderson. For the week, he averaged 20.5 points with 12.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists while shooting 43.8 percent from the field, 50 percent from three-point range and 76.9 percent from the free throw line.  

This is Willett's second Player of the Week selection this season.
