Queens' Willett Named to 2019 NABC Coaches' Division II All-America Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (March 26, 2019) -- The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced today the 2019 NABC Coaches' Division II All-America team. Selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC in Division II, these student-athletes represent the most outstanding basketball players across America in NCAA Division II.
Queens' Shaun Willett was the lone SAC player named to the team. The SAC Player of the Year, Willett is averaging 19.7 points, 11.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.3 steals per game, while leading Queens to a 28-4 record and the top seed for the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional. He has connected on 52.3 percent of his field goal attempts, including 32.2 percent from beyond the three-point arc, and shot 70.6 percent at the foul line. He garnered South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week honors three times this season and currently leads Division II with 25 double-doubles.

About the National Association of Basketball Coaches
Located in Kansas City, MO, the NABC was founded in 1927 by Phog Allen, the legendary basketball coach at the University of Kansas. Allen, a student of James Naismith, the inventor of basketball, organized coaches into this collective group to serve as Guardians of the Game. The NABC currently has nearly 5,000 members consisting primarily of university and college men's basketball coaches.
