Lincoln Memorial's Whitfield Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Basketball Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lincoln Memorial guard Devin Whitfield has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week thirteen of the 2019-20 season, the Conference announced today.

Whitfield, a junior from Lipscomb, Ala., led the No. 2 Railsplitters to their 22^nd and 23^rd consecutive victories last week with wins over Lenoir-Rhyne (90-78) and Wingate (104 -80). He averaged 27.5 points and 8.5 rebounds with three assists per game, while shooting 60 percent from the field and 66.7 percent from beyond the arc. He notched a double-double of 25 points and 13 rebounds with two assists and a steal against Lenoir-Rhyne. He then netted 30 points with four rebounds versus Wingate.

This is Whitfield's second player of the week selection this season.
