Lenoir-Rhyne's Gunn Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Basketball Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lenoir-Rhyne forward R.J. Gunn has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during the final week of the 2019-20 regular season, the Conference announced today.

Gunn, a junior from Irmo, S.C., led the Bears to a 1-1 record last week, averaging 22 points and 9.5 rebounds, while shooting 45.7 percent from the field. In the Bears' 107-98 win over Mars Hill, Gunn pulled down a career-high 13 boards with two blocks and 20 points. He then scored 24 points with six rebounds, an assist, a steal and a block against Catawba.

This is Gunn's first player of the week selection this season.
