Queens' Smith Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Basketball Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Queens forward Jamari Smith has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week six of the 2021-22 season, the Conference announced today.

Smith, a sophomore from Jonesboro, Ga., led the No. 19 Royals to a pair of SAC victories last week, including the upset of No. 10 Lincoln Memorial (82-80). For the week, Smith averaged 25 points with five rebounds, two assists, and a steal. He scored 22 points and pulled down two boards with an assist and two steals versus Wingate. He then scored a career-high 28 points with eight rebounds, three assists, and a block against Lincoln Memorial.

This is Smith's second player of the week selection this season.
