Queens' Rains Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Basketball Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Queens forward Gavin Rains has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week seven of the 2021-22 season, the Conference announced today.

Rains, a sophomore from Trinity, N.C., led the Royals to their fourth straight victory last week with a non-conference win over Johnson & Wales (104-74). He posted a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds with three blocks, two assists, and a steal. He also shot 75 percent from the field.

This is Rain's second player of the week selection this season.
