Tusculum's Gibson Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Basketball Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Tusculum guard Trenton Gibson has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week nine of the 2021-22 season, the Conference announced today. 

Gibson, a graduate student from Murfreesboro, Tenn., led the Pioneers to a perfect 2-0 week in the SAC with wins over Wingate (65-60) and Catawba (85-73). Highlighting the week was Gibson's second triple-double of his career. He posted 20 points with 10 rebounds and 10 assists in the Pioneer's victory over Catawba. He added 13 points and 10 rebounds with five assists to his week in the win over Wingate. For the week, Gibson averaged 16.5 points with 10 rebounds, 7.5 assists, and a steal.

This is Gibson's first player of the week selection this season.
