Queens' Smith Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Basketball Player of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Queens forward Jamari Smith has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week 11 of the 2021-22 season, the Conference announced today.
Smith, a sophomore from Jonesboro, Ga., led the Royals to a pair of SAC victories last week, including an overtime thriller against Tusculum (88-85). He scored 19 points with 12 rebounds, two assists, and two steals versus the Pioneers, and then poured in 19 points with 12 rebounds, an assist, and a steal in the Royal's 100-52 win over Mars Hill. For the week he averaged a double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds with 1.5 assists and a steal.
This is Smith's third player of the week selection this season.
