Lenoir-Rhyne's Nesmith Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Basketball Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lenoir-Rhyne forward TJ Nemith has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week 15 of the 2021-22 season, the Conference announced today. 

Nesmith, a junior from Burlington, N.C., led the Bears to a perfect 2-0 record last week with wins over UVA Wise (85-70) and Mars Hill (92-71). He recorded a double-double of 29 points and 10 rebounds with two assists, and a block against the Cavaliers, and added 27 points and three rebounds with two assists versus the Lions. For the week Nesmith averaged 28 points with 6.5 rebounds and two assists.

This is Nesmith's first player of the week selection this season.
