Queens' Smith Named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Basketball Player of the Week
ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Queens forward Jamari Smith has been named the South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week 16 of the 2021-22 season, the Conference announced today.
Smith, a sophomore from Jonesboro, Ga., led the Royals to a 2-0 week with wins over Lenoir-Rhyne and Wingate to claim a share of the SAC Men's Basketball Regular Season title. Smith scored 16 points and pulled down five rebounds with two steals and a block against the Bears. He then posted a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds with an assist and a block versus the Bulldogs. For the week he averaged 18 points with eight rebounds, a steal, an assist, and a block.
This is Smith's fourth player of the week selection this season.
