Lincoln Memorial's Rankin Named South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Men's Basketball Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) – Lincoln Memorial guard Chase Rankin has been named the South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week nine of the 2022-23 season, the Conference announced today.

Rankin, a graduate student from Columbus, Ohio, led the No. 5 Railsplitters to a pair of victories last week, including a 108-63 win over SAC foe Anderson. He averaged 16 points, nine assists, and 7.5 rebounds for the week while shooting 85.7 percent from the field and 66.7 percent from long range. He had a near triple-double performance against Anderson, scoring 19 points with 13 assists and eight rebounds.
